There are three types of controllers that use the
Dual Float Switch:

Deluxe Dual Float Controller (Model # DFC2)
The Deluxe Controller monitors pump and power conditions, and sounds an alarm when a problem is detected. The warning signals are described below. In addition, it begins the pumping cycle when either float rises ¼", and runs the pump an additional 10 seconds after the float returns to its original position.

When a warning alarm sounds, a light will appear on the front panel of the controller indicating which problem has been detected:
  • AC power is out - sounds an alarm when the power is out, the pump has accidentally been unplugged, or the circuit breaker has been tripped
  • The system is operating -a light blinks continuously indicating that the controller is plugged in and operating
  • 9-volt battery low or slide switch is OFF - indicates when it's time to replace the battery or reminds you to move the slide switch back to the ON position
  • Pump or float problem - sounds an alarm when the float has been raised for 10 minutes continuously, an indication that there is a potential pump or plumbing problem
  • Remote terminal - provides connection to a home security system or remote dialer.

Enhanced Dual Float Controller (DFC1.5)
The all new Enhanced Float Controller (DFC1.5) has all of the features and benefits of the DFC1 plus several features only previously available on the DFC2, making for a great upgrade. With the universal mounting tabs, the Enhanced Float Controller is easy to install and has the ability to disconnect the float switch wire from the controller, allowing you to easily feed the wire through a sump pit cover. The controller has an adjustable timer from 5-45 seconds and will activate the pump weekly to exercise and extend the life of the pump. A flashing LED on the font of the controller indicates the controller is receiving AC power.

Dual Float Controller (Model # DFC1)
The Dual Float Controller is included with the PHCC Combination Systems. It turns on the pump when water lifts the float switch and runs the pump for an additional 10 seconds to completely empty the sump pit once the float returns to its original position.
